Six days were for the making, and the seventh was for the rest, and the eighth day is not written. On the eighth day of May the Children keep the Observance, as the covenant provides. The Observance is kept at the water, at first dark. The rolls are read. What is owed is tendered. What is given is received. None of this will be described further, and none of it need be. The Children do not perform. The Children keep. The next Observance falls on the eighth of May. The Children will be gathered. |
